The Ability to Choose our Lifestyle

This is an excerpt from my upcoming book “The Live it Lifestyle: Dropping Diets Forever!” From chapter: Deconstructing the Die-It.
The Ability to Choose our Life Style
The most obvious sign of abundance in my opinion is the ability to choose and direct our own life style modifications as we see fit. We have every food, nutritional supplement, and informational tool at our finger tips and to have these things is a luxury few could ever comprehend even when we try. We have what our parents never did, we have what our grand parents couldn’t believe and we also have what their parents could never conceive. The pharaohs and greatest kings and queens of all time who witnessed the construction of architectural monuments we now cannot explain never dreamt of the technologies we have access too.
I believe the idea that we can design a eating protocol specific to our preferences and needs is such a remarkable idea we actually couldn’t imagine life with out it. Before the power of the internet and industrial machinery the options were much fewer and many died in pursuit of what we have with the click of a mouse. This idea alone is at the core of global importance because without the appreciation for the struggles of the past we run the risk of falling back into a limited thought forms which many are living in right now.
Regardless of the unlimited abundance that surrounds you if your mind is not in a space to let it in you will never receive the glory that could be yours for the keeping.
I believe it is now time to lay down the arms of the so called “Diet Wars” and work to find a common ground to cultivate intelligent discussion presenting options for all that choose to take it on. The ways in which many have approached diet education have been very inappropriate and ego driven. If you look behind the scenes some of the leading health educators are not shining examples of what they teach, this is a mistake that should not be made regularly because others are watching hoping we may have something of value that can benefit their lives. It seems we are beginning to move out of the overly fanatical attitudes that has given birth to mass separation and moving closer to collective consciousness that makes room for everyone.
I personally believe in everything I teach as it comes from my own experience that has so deeply effected my life. I strongly agree with what Bruce Lee once said which was “We must research our own experience and apply what is useful for our own lives then discard what is not”. As a life long martial artist I have seen the same trends of confinement hinder the progression of so many that could have blossomed into powerful productive forces in the world but were limited to the expectations of another. I recommend you take everything that is useful for you, consider things you may not understand just yet, and play with new ideas in order to find what works for you the best.
Ultimately a true teacher should be a living testament of their own words and the best teachers are always the best students. Become a straight A student in your own life and as you progress you will become your own guru! Choose what provides you the most laughter, vitality, strength, and life force energy, the torch is now in your hands, run with it for you are the forerunner of dreams envisioned of all those that came before…
